Application for [info]forgotten_gods

You:
Name: RD
Contact: AIM: rd lenix Gtalk: amuseemail@gmail.com

Character:
Deity Name: Capitalism
Pantheon: American God of Capitalism.
Current Alias: Sully Banks
Apparent Age: Appears to be 33 but he's existed since America was founded.
Occupation: CEO of the Bank of America

Personality: He's a free thinker and believes in personal rights and privacy over security. He prefers Republicans, because they like to keep their goods and monies private unlike the left winged liberals who want to share everything. He enjoys bartering and trading to a fault and when he's not at work, he's sure to be playing with the stock market.

History: One thing that has always been on American's minds? Money. How should they make money, how they can make more once they have a basic amount...Another thing that has always been on the minds of American's is their rights. Their unalienable right to properly, life, etc. Born on their minds was the very God they practically worshiped, and thus Capitalism took a more permanent form. He flourishes in America, but fears the people may change their ways. He lives in constant fear of the American people falling away from Capitalism to engage in different sorts of economies.

During the Depression, though, he felt himself faulter. People were no longer concerned with trading, buying and the likes. Instead they were concerned with a silly thing known as 'surviving'. It was a hard time in America and Capitalism found himself weakening. He was forced to retreat to the border of Canada and the US, hiding out, trying to live off of what few bits of Capitalism he could find. Early on in American history when gold was struck in America, he was there, flourishing in it. Finding more and more strength.

Now in the 21st Century he has no problem surviving. Trade is big and America, though some like to deny it, is a Capitalist country. Trade is abundant, as is the flow of cash. Come on, even the poor in America are more wealthy than the majority of the world! Though he finds himself slightly annoyed that British Euros and Pounds are worth more to the world than he is, he finds relief in the idea that he is still rather powerful in his own domain.

When he's not over looking his bank he can be found perusing the stock market, investing in the companies he knows will make money. He has a sort of 6th sense about that sort of thing, after all. He enjoys speaking with business men who seem to think they are so high above him and then break them down when he flashes his own fortune in their face. He's a brilliant, convincing business man himself actually, and finds absolute joy in his job. While some of the older Gods fade, he becomes stronger and is one of the driving forces in America. America won't be getting rid of him anytime soon, that's for certain.
